As we head into 2023 with excitement and enthusiasm, we reflect back fondly on 2022 as a year of important and successful investments from Association Analytics (A2) to the association community covering everything from analytics webinars, industry partnerships, evolving product features, great employees and significant focus on customer success.
Sharing Our Love of Data
First and foremost, in 2022, we invested heavily in sharing our love of data with the association world. We continued our A2 webinar series, Analytics in Action, co-hosted webinars with other leading industry partners, spoke at association conferences all over the country and created tons of educational reading materials for association professionals.

Building Successful Partnerships
A2 was all-in this year with building successful partnerships, most notably at ASAE Annual in Nashville. We were lucky enough to partner with over 20 association industry leaders to bring the largest booth block to the trade show floor. We aptly named ourselves the Success Crew as a group of partners committed to helping associations maximize their opportunities for success. The Success Crew block was tailgate-themed and gave attendees the opportunity to play games like cornhole, mini golf and giant Jenga, as well as meet fun folks decked in branded sports jerseys and the chance to win one of five $1,000 cash prizes and one $5,000 prize! It was so exciting to be back in-person, surrounded by the best in the industry, and to give away $10,000! Oh, and let’s not forget our post-game party hosted at Blake Shelton’s place – Ole Red. It was a night everyone in attendance surely won’t forget. We can’t wait to see you again in Atlanta this August!
Hiring Great People
Our investment in sharing our love of data was only surpassed by our love of A2 employees. 2022 was a year of significant internal investment with 22 new hires and 10 promotions ranging from our implementation and customer success organizations to our sales and marketing teams. Some notable names you might recognize from the association and tech industries include Rachel Mace, CAE, our new senior product developer (former Membership BI Director for the American Bankers Association) and Brady Tello, our new VP of Technical Delivery (former solutions architect for Databricks).
After being added to the annual Inc. 5000 list in 2022, which ranks the fastest-growing private companies in America, we’re excited to continue our growth in 2023. Evolving Analytics Adoption & Customer Success
Our success only comes from the success of our customers so that is always a top investment for us, and this year was no different. In fact, we couldn’t be prouder of the amount of customer success and analytics adoption resources we launched to help ensure our customers’ success.
What an event! Our annual user conference had more than 200 customers and partners sharing successes, building relationships and educating one another on how to use analytics to drive our organizations forward. The energy in the room was unmistakable.
We kicked off the day with ASAE’s Chief Information & Performance Excellence Officer, Reggie Henry, CAE, as our keynote speaker. He gave an empowering presentation on how you can transform the way your association does business with analytics. We kept the energy flowing throughout the day with breakout sessions on how to do more and be more successful using your data, we recognized outstanding clients and partners, and finished the day celebrating our shared successes with an on-site happy hour.
During Predict, we also launched A2’s first online learning management system, Acumen Academy! Since then, over 100 learners have enrolled! The vision for the Academy is to be the association industry source for all things data, analytics, and of course, Acumen. We will continue to grow and enhance our course offerings and content. Recently, we added the session recordings from our Predict Conference to provide access to all the great content that was shared by our staff and customers.
Our customer user group “Acumen Community” saw significant growth in 2022 as well. We updated the look and feel and added some resources to help Acumen users collaborate with other users throughout the industry. It’s a great place to pose questions, share best practices or just keep a pulse on data-related tips and tricks! We also welcome product enhancement requests here as well.
The Hoot: A2 Customer Newsletter
In Q3 of 2022, we proudly launched the inaugural edition of our quarterly newsletter “The Hoot”! Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we are always looking for ways to be at our best. Like many organizations, we often have our heads down hard at work and can forget to share all the exciting things we’ve been up to. With our new investment in customer success and transparency, we launched The Hoot to provide regular updates of what our product team is working on, resources we’ve created, opportunities to get to know our team, and shining a light on the direction we are headed.
Building the Best Product for Associations
Continuing our investment in analytics adoption and customer success, this year we focused heavily on launching new features to our software platform, Acumen – in fact, we released over 30! We also had an impressive number of integrations (77!) and launched a brand new product specifically for event professionals – Acumen Major Meetings.
Transforming the Way Associations Do Business
As lofty as the statement is, it’s our true mission as an organization – to transform the way associations do business, ultimately helping them serve their own missions. That’s why 2022 was a year of investment – in sharing our expertise, building important relationships, and hiring the best people to build the best product that will help associations achieve their missions. We can’t wait to continue our investments in 2023! Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect:
- Monthly Analytics in Action webinars continue – keep an eye out for an invite to the first session on January 18th which will cover the highly relevant topic of economic uncertainty and how analytics can help you prosper during tough times.
- Sharpen Your Acumen – a live learning series focused on helping A2 customers use Acumen and their data more successfully.
- Acumen Connector – an exciting new feature release, the Connector will allow customers to save filtered lists in Acumen that can be pushed directly into one of our source connectors (currently HubSpot, PropFuel, Informz, and Adestra).
- ASAE Annual 2023 in Atlanta – be on the lookout for an even bigger and better Success Crew booth block with games and the chance to win cash again!
- Predict 2023 – with tons of great customer feedback on this year’s user conference, we’re prepared for even more success this fall. You’ll see a Save the Date in late Spring so you can mark your calendars early.
